Del, born Watunga Delicious, is a Ugandan entrepreneur, digital marketer and AI creative, born and raised in Kabale and now based in Kampala. He helps businesses and individuals grow through digital marketing, practical uses of AI and creative storytelling.
A Tourism graduate of Makerere University, he serves as Operations Lead at HRB AI Agency and is the founder of Green Enterprises, working in forestry and agriculture. His background brings together sales, customer service, team leadership, digital marketing and content creation.
Through It's Time, he shares lessons from his own experiences to inspire action and personal growth. He especially wants to encourage men to rebuild after setbacks, take responsibility for their direction and keep moving forward.
Alongside his business and technology work, Del remains a creative artist, rapper and songwriter, known in music as Delboy. His music explores ambition, the hustle and the people worth working hard for. He is also exploring AI-powered visual storytelling to bring those lyrics to life.
His interest in hip-hop began in 2007, inspired by Lil Wayne. He began recording in 2010 and developed his early music with producer Baru from 2015. Early releases included “Moses” and “Ask the Doorman,” with the latter appearing on Baru's Young King EP in 2016. Their collaboration continued with The New Wave, released in 2018.
His music journey has earned him Rookie of the Year nominations at the Uganda Hip Hop Awards. He has worked with Ugandan artists including Mun G on “See Yowa Life,” from The New Wave Chapter 3, as well as Pryce Teeba, Play 01 and the Ntinda hip-hop collective N.T.M.
His live performances include sharing the stage with Lilian Mbabazi, formerly of Blu*3, alongside the Aka Dope band in 2019. These experiences continue to shape the creativity and storytelling he brings to his work today.
